After a freshly cooked breakfast, we set off in sunny weather to our next destination about 40 miles away, taking in a leisurely lunch at Bala Lake along the way. By the time we arrived at the hostel, it was starting to rain. As the hostel wasn't to open for an hour or so, we took refuge in the nearest pub, and heeded the locals' advice not to drink too much. Dinner consisted of the world's largest pile of fish and chips and a few more beers in the local. We escaped as the karaoke got going, and had another sleepless night in a room full of some spectacularly loud snorers.
