Aviemore to Dornoch.
77.95 miles in 6:23:24 (12.20 mph)
Total: 949.49 miles in 81:31:15 (11.65 mph)

After a big breakfast of supernoodles and cold pizza (the kind waitress gave us the entire contents of last night's 'eat as much as you can' buffet in a cardboard box - neatly sorting lunch too - much better hospitality than the campsite which even charged for water!), we cycled the easy road to Dornoch with an Aussie bloke (who seemed to be spending as much time abroad as possible so as to avoid his wife) for company for part of the way. The Aviemore area was lovely in the warm sun. The coast around Inverness was stunning. It clouded over by lunch but still no rain. Saw the first sign to John O'Groats today - it's now within spitting distance, if you can spit over 80 miles. Midges not a problem, as Will appears to be a bit of a midge magnet.
Nick

In Dornoch, camping on a beach listening to the sound of seals.. Very nice, but midges keep attacking - hopefully Nick's curry will keep them away! Last day cycling tomorrow, only another 85 miles to go!
