Land's End To John O'Groats, June 2005

After a long night trying to get through all of the 150 malt whiskeys on offer in one of the pubs at John O'Groats, I woke up very early feeling rather unwell. On the plus side, I did get to see a fantastic sunrise (for some reason the others just said "take a picture" when I tried to wake them...) before going back to bed. Shortly after, we got up at stupid o'clock in the morning to get on the ferry to Orkney. It rained a lot, but it was still very beautiful. Had chips and deep fried battered haggis for lunch, and a seafood feast consisting of grilled buttered garlicked langoustines, scallops, crab claws and rollmop herrings for dinner. Then up at even stupider o'clock the next morning for the long drive back to Leeds and Mansfield.
